50 years on from the Equal Pay Act and there is still much more to do on closing the gender pay gap says Usdaw

Retail trade union Usdaw is marking today's 50th anniversary of the Equal Pay Act 1970 with a call for a new deal for workers including action on closing the gender pay gap. Usdaw has launched a ‘New Deal for Workers' campaign, which seeks better pay and rights, with fair treatment and equality for all workers.

U-turn on fee for foreign health and care workers welcome – Usdaw calls for all key workers to be exempted

Retail trade union Usdaw has welcomed Keir Starmer's victory on overseas health and care staff being exempted from the fee levied on migrants to pay for the NHS. Usdaw now calls on the Prime Minister to go further on his U-turn and extend the exemption to all key workers providing essential services through the Coronavirus emergency.
