Responding to a report published today (Friday) by the Innovation, Universities and Science and Skills Select Committee examining the impact of Lord Leitch’s review of skills, TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber said:
“Today’s report underlines the need for people to have access to training during the recession and beyond. Learning new skills will give people a better chance of getting back into work as early as possible and can also safeguard existing jobs.’
