TUC urges Commonwealth leaders to put jobs, justice and climate centre stage

TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber has today (Monday) written to the Prime Minister asking him to put jobs, justice and climate at the heart of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which starts a month today in Trinidad and Tobago. The TUC letter is part of a co-ordinated, cross-Commonwealth lobbying effort. Union leaders representing more than 30 million members in 51 of the 53 Commonwealth countries are writing to their countries' political leaders, urging support for the actions set out in the Commonwealth Trade Union Group submission.
