We call on Edinburgh Woollen Milland PEACOCKS to join other leading clothing brands in signing the Fire and Building Safety Accord to make the Bangladesh garment industry a safe place to work. As consumers, we want the clothes we buy to be made safely and with respect for those who work in the factories. We urge the Edinburgh Woollen Mill group to sign the Accord today. It should also pay full compensation to the workers injured in the Tazreen factory fire. Please download the attached letter and send to your local Peacocks or Edingburgh Wollen Mill store or pop along and join the call to stop factory deaths in Bangladesh.

Trade unions in Wales are today hosting an event to mark the historic action taken by the Welsh government to tackle blacklisting while calling on all parties to back a full public inquiry into the scandal.

The event is open to those who have been affected or are interested in knowing more about the illigal practice of blacklisting.
