Over 227,500 teachers in England and Wales will today be issued with their ballot papers, in the first national industrial action ballot the NASUWT has called in over a decade.
The coming year looks set to be a crucial time for all those involved in employment, skills and enterprise services in the UK. The new Work Programme will be rolled out, whilst changes to skills provision and the introduction of an all age career service will create new challenges for skills providers. Meanwhile the introduction of Local Enterprise Partnerships will look to create a coherent structure for creating local employment opportunities and driving local economies
