Unionlearn Strategy for Supporting Learners: Providing quality information, advice & support for learning (April 2011 to March 2014)

This strategy for Supporting Learners has been developed to support the delivery of impartial learning and careers advice services to union learners. It is an underpinning strategy for all unionlearn activity with the primary aim of making all learning and progression opportunities available to all union members, particularly those who are disadvantaged in the workplace.

The Money Advice Service launches to give free, unbiased advice to all

A new nationwide service launches today (4 April) to provide free, unbiased advice to help everyone make the most of their money. The Money Advice Service will help people take the right financial decisions and act on them, by giving personalised advice online at moneyadviceservice.org.uk, over the phone on 0300 500 5000, and face-to-face across the UK through a national network.

Northern TUC Annual Conference celebrates success of union learning

The Northern TUC will be holding their ninth Annual Regional Conference on this weekend, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd April, at the Newcastle-Gateshead Hilton. Over 150 delegates from more than 15 trade unions will make come together to shape the regional trade union priorities, and who and how those will be taken forward for the next year.

The second day of Conference (Sunday 3rd) will be dedicated to celebrating the achievements of trade union learning and maintaining this success into the future.
