Zero Tolerance Approach Needed For Construction Companies Following Cover Pricing Shame

Commenting on the announcement that the Office of Fair Trading had fined 103 construction firms a total of £129.5 million for cover pricing, Alan Ritchie General Secretary of construction union UCATT, said: “It is clear that construction companies can’t be trusted to run their affairs properly, the authorities should now put the construction industry into special measures. The cover pricing scandal demonstrates why the construction industry cannot be trusted to police itself.”
